PRODUCING:
We provide full production services for any project. We will provide an engineer and producer or accommodate ones that you may bring. We can record and produce music remotely, on-site, or off-site fulfilling all of your recording needs.
There are a few levels of producing that we provide here at Foundation Studios. First is the “Producer” who works with the talent to help them build their project. |

Second is the “Filling-Out Producer” who takes your vocal and accompaniment track and fills out the song with all of the other fitting instrumentation.
Third is the “Composer/Producer” who takes your theme or idea and writes and produces the song for you. |

The “Producer”
The “Producer” helps a group or artist effectively transfer their artistic vision onto a recorded medium. This is not as simple as just putting a microphone in front of the performer. There are countless techniques involved in making a song exciting and dynamic in a recording. This type of production is accomplished by hiring a producer to work with an artist through the entire recording process. Sometimes the engineer doubles as the producer, but this can’t always be assumed. Since we make it our point to cater to those artists and groups who are potentially producing themselves or recording at home we provide some hybrid producing options. We are happy to provide you with a producer after the majority of the tracking has occurred. The producer can work with you remotely, giving feedback on production decisions throughout the tracking process. When it comes to mixing, that same producer will assist or mix your project.
The “Filling-Out Producer”
The “Filling-Out Producer” takes the basic song structure that you provide and creates a full filled-out production in whatever style you desire. This type of production service is for those who enjoy being a songwriter and have a vision of what their song could sound like, but don’t have the time, desire, or ability to play all of the different instruments to do so. This type of service is so specialized that we cannot simply state general pricepoints. We’ve found that the best approach for these circumstances is to have a consultation with the group or artist where we decide what level of production to provide based on the amount of money that you would like to spend on the service. Examples 1 and 2 are a combination of the filling out producer and producer roles.
The “Composer/Producer”
The “Composer/Producer” takes an idea and creates a song for you. This can either be an artist looking for songwriting to a company looking for theme music. Once again these projects require dialogue between the client and the composer/producer where a price can be reached based on the demands of the project. Examples 3 and 4 show the end result of some of these composer/producer projects. |
